The grand finale of Pride Month in San Antonio is the Gay Pride S.A. Block Party and Parade on July 5 on North Main Avenue. The Block Party starts at 3 p.m. and the Parade kicks off at 9 p.m. There will be food, drinks, and entertainment. The festivities include a high heel race, a commitment ceremony and an area for kids. The Grand Marshal for the Pride Parade, whose theme this year is "Patriotic Pride," is retired Marine sergeant and HRC spokesman Eric Alva.
