"Third" by Wendy Wasserstein

In Wendy Wasserstein’s play "Third," a female colleague accuses a male college student of plagiarism. The play’s central questions revolve around the validity of the accusation and whether the woman is casting the man as the villain in her own struggle with relationships, age and an increasingly polarized political environment. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. There is no performance on Sunday, August 31. Classic Theater presents "Rancho Pancho"

The Classic Theatre of San Antonio is excited to debut the play "Rancho Pancho," written by former Express-News book editor Gregg Barrios. The story explores a little-known relationship between Tennessee Williams and Texan Pancho Rodriguez. The play has been selected for the Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival in Massachusetts this fall. At the Jump-Start Theatre on Saturday, September 6 at 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 7 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 general and $9 for seniors, students, and military. Anthony's Club, the support group for single gay men, provides a setting where members support one another in the formation of quality lasting relationships and build friendships through social activities. The group holds a social with a piano-bar atmosphere, beginning with a short exercise in relationship skills, on the second Saturday of each month. PFLAG presents "Steps to Understanding"

Steps to Understanding is a new group that meets at the third Wednesday of each month to encourage dialog between members of the straight and GLBT communities and their families and friends. Every meeting has a guest speaker or a film that can be used to stimulate discussion. September 17 we will view a portion of the award-winning documentary film "For the Bible Tells Me so" which examines the difficulties faced by families who try to support their gay, lesbian and bisexual and transgender children within the context of their various Christian churches.
